After two years of intense testing and continuous improvement， the xine development team proudly presents the final xine-lib 1.0 release.
Compared with the latest release candidate， there are not many changes (see below for complete ChangeLog). However， a security issue regarding the AIFF demuxer (CAN-2004-1300) is fixed， as well as some issues that might have appeared with the way the Xv plugin has been linked in 1-rc8.
Therefore， upgrading to 1.0 is strongly recommended.

　「Firefox」を“2ちゃんねる”ブラウザー化できる「bbs2chreader」v0.1.0が、19日に公開された。「Firefox」上で動作するフリーソフトで、編集部にて試用したところWindows XP上の「Firefox 日本語版」v1.0で動作することを確認した。現在作者のホームページからダウンロードできる。

　「bbs2chreader」は、「Firefox」を“2ちゃんねる”ブラウザー化できるプラグイン。“サイドバー”部分に“2ちゃんねる”のカテゴリーである“板”をフォルダツリー形式で表示し、選択した“板”の“スレッド”一覧をアクティブなタブ、または新規タブに表示する。もちろん、スレッド一覧はタブを利用して複数表示しておける。スレッド本文は、スレッド一覧を表示していたタブ、または新規タブに表示される仕組みだ。

　スレッド一覧では、書き込みの総数や未読数とともにスレッド名が新着順で表示され、スレッド一覧上部の検索欄を利用すれば、該当キーワードをタイトル名に含むスレッドを絞り込むことが可能。

　またスレッド本文では、“ttp”から始まるURLが自動補完した状態で表示されるほか、“>>23”のような引用部分にマウスカーソルを合わせることで、引用元の内容をポップアップ表示することが可能。

　さらに本文閲覧中は、本文右上に常時表示されている［書き込み］ボタンから、ウィザード形式でスレッドに発言を書き込める。そのほか、スレッド一覧を「Firefox」の“ライブブックマーク”として登録し、書き込みの新着数をRSSと同じ感覚で確認できる機能も搭載。

　このプラグインを利用すれば、“2ちゃんねる”専用ブラウザーを別途起動することなく、「Firefox」のみで“2ちゃんねる”を快適に閲覧することができるだろう。

ちょっと前にリリースしてた（しかも、テキストに書いて保存してあった）のに、UPするのを忘れてた・・・(^^ゞ すみません。

　SFS-KNOPPIX とは、ルートファイルシステム(cloopファイル)をネットワーク越しに取るKNOPPIX です。
今までのKNOPPIXでは700M CDにすべて収める必要がありましたが、その制限がなくなります。
SFS-KNOPPIXではWAN対応のセキュアなファイルシステムSFS(Self-certifying File System)でネットワーク越しのルートファイルシステム(cloopファイル)を利用します。
起動のためにはブートローダのみとなり、isoイメージのサイズが約20Mになりました。添付メイルでもOSが送れるサイズです。
　また、今までは新しいKNOPPIXや特定用途にカスタマイズされたKNOPPIXが出るたびにCDを作成しなおしていましたが、SFS-KNOPPIXでは起動時にルートファイルシステム(cloopファイル)切り替えて別のKNOPPIXが起動できます。
この機能によりCD-ROMの作成をしなくても別のKNOPPIXを利用可能になりました。

今までのisoイメージよりも格段にサイズが減ったのと、用途に合わせてUSBドライブ（Penドライブ）を選択できるのも、非常にありがたいです♪
